Spanish Heritage Program

Service Description

This is an advanced or native level in Spanish. "When we talk about heritage speakers, we’re usually referring to a person who has learned a language informally by being exposed to it at home instead of having learned it formally in a school setting. It may be their native tongue – the language they identify as being their primary language – but more often than not, their heritage language becomes secondary to English, the language in which they receive their formal education and is used the most in their daily life outside the home." -Language Testing International The program tailors language growth to each student. As they embrace their identities and strengthen their literacy skills in Spanish, their achievement in all content areas, and their confidence to express themselves. Grammar, reading, and writing skills will be emphasized through Hispanic culture, fun practical, and interactive activities like literature, music, history, traditions, gastronomy, and more. Note: Prices may vary depending on the level, frequency, and needs. Personalized lessons (one-on-one): $35 - $40 per hour per student. Small group lessons (2-5 students): $25 per hour per student. Discounts are available for siblings or family members living in the same household.
