María Giammattei is the Founder and Lead Tutor at Spanishtutor4u, where she brings a unique blend of academic excellence, professional language expertise, and a deep passion for teaching Spanish. She specializes in guiding high school and college students through all levels of Spanish—from beginner to advanced, including AP Spanish Language and Culture—with a proven track record of helping students achieve remarkable results.

Born and raised in El Salvador, María’s academic formation in Spanish language and literature began at one of the country’s most prestigious private all-girls schools, renowned for its high academic standards and distinguished Spanish faculty. This early foundation instilled in her a lifelong love for the Spanish language, grammar, and literature.

She went on to earn a law degree and spent 15 years practicing as an attorney. During her time at an international law firm, María became known for her outstanding command of written Spanish. She was entrusted with leading all legal translations—from English to Spanish—for the firm’s Corporate and Intellectual Property departments, a role that required not only fluency but precision, clarity, and a high-level understanding of legal terminology.

This legal background informs her teaching today. María has developed a structured and personalized method that blends academic rigor with real-world application. Her approach emphasizes strong grammatical foundations, clear communication, and cultural context. Students appreciate her ability to explain complex concepts in a way that is accessible and engaging.

María is especially recognized for:

I am a fortunate person because Spanishtutor4u has allowed me to teach the Spanish language to young people who wish to improve their skills for reasons such as schoolwork or communicating with family and friends who live in other countries. I am currently a sophomore Kinesiology student at California State University at Fullerton.

 

During high school, I was awarded the State Seal of Biliteracy for being fully proficient in English and Spanish, which has opened doors for me in college and work opportunities. Also played soccer for the school Varsity Team being one of the top scorers!.

 

I congratulate you very much for the great step you are about to take and I hope to be the person who can help you achieve your goals in this precious language that is Spanish.

¡Hola amigos!

 

I am your Tutor Luis, with 15 years of experience in teaching business communications at university level in my country El Salvador. My academic background is in communication sciences, public relations, and business.  I have worked in different areas and industries such as music, insurance, construction, retail, clothing manufacturing, human resources and customer service. 

 

I am a very fortunate man, married for almost 25 years to my beautiful wife Maria, entrepreneur and founder of Spanishtutor4u and father of four wonderful children. I love music, photography, painting, and movies. Enjoy having good conversations about art. Also a huge fan of sports, especially European soccer leagues and MLS. 

 

Spanish is a very important language specially in the United States where approximately 54 million people speak it, so I feel very lucky to be able to help people learn or improve their knowledge of this beautiful language here at Spanishtutor4u.
